And the week's nearly half over

I’ve had almost no motivation to blog this week and so I haven’t. (Odd for me, I know.) It’s been really warm here and we’ve been spending most of our time outside and at the park.

And thus I’ve been reminded of one of the things I loathe about summer: the necessity of daily baths. (A true exercise of a mother’s sanity.)

(Case in point. Tonight, while I was running around collecting fresh pajamas, they dumped in what was left of the tissue box. Shredded, nasty, dissolving stuff.)

(Also, Drew’s feet were so dirty they probably warranted a pumice stone.)

One of the shining highlights from today was getting to meet Sarah from Genesis Moments for breakfast. (We originally met at Blissdom.)

Thanks again, Sarah!!

Other things I've been up to: inhaling a box of Girl Scout cookies Andy has yet to find, not doing the laundry, and reading a funny (but crude) book. You?

Somehow I need to get some American Girl Scouts to fly over to N Ireland with some Girl Scout Cookies - I think I am seriously missing out as EVERYONE is blogging about them!

I'm with you on the bathtime. Yesterday, I had one shower before naptime. The water looked like something out of Slumdog Millionaire.

All our girl scout cookies are gone. :(

I also hate being forced into daily showers/baths.

That's wild that you had breakfast with Sarah. She and her family went to our church for years, and I got to see her last year. Small world.

Still enjoying your posts . . .

The only boxes of GS Cookies left in my house are the chocolate kind (that I don't like so I won't eat). My family must not know they're in the freezer.

Glad you're back...hope you're having a better day!

OH...I hate daily baths. We're not to that point yet--still having cool/cold days here, but I really dread it. And my kids are big enough to do it themselves so I should probably not complain to you. (Sorry!)

I, too, had forgotten about the need for daily baths!! Just yesterday I found my kids in the sand/dirt box with the hose on - "Look Mom! We made an ocean!"

Well, let's just say that I soaked those clothes in Oxiclean overnight.

You know Mary Hand!! How funny. It IS a small world. Great to have breakfast with you. The fellowship and the waffle were awesome!

I am getting a small break here between meetings and dinner. Incredibly rich stuff. I'll blog about it soon. Definitely worth attending. The Neilsons spoke last night and mentioned your grandfather among several families that have made this college and seminary what they are and whose children have come and graduated too.

Take care,

In Christ Alone,

I limited our family to 3 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies this year. One for me, one for Hubs, and one for us to share. We tend to be very territorial about Samoas and Hubs actually labeled his box with a marker. lol

Oh! The daily bath - don't remind me. I am stretching it out as long as I can to every other day, but now that it's warmer and she'll be running around outside, I won't have an excuse. I know I shouldn't complain, I only have one baby. But still!

While I hated losing that hour this past weekend, I'm loving that it doesn't get dark until later. Gives us much more time outside.

I've managed to avoid purchasing girl scout cookies this year...but this morning, a thin mint or two sounds pretty good. Wishing the local troops would set up shop at the corner grocery store.
